Champion trophy warm-up match b/w Pakistan and Australia dampened by Rain


On Monday at BIRMINGHAM: Champion trophy match between Pak­istan and Australia dampened by rain. Pakistan, who defeated Bangladesh in their first match by 2 wickets Australia too defeated Srilanka in their First warm up match.

Australia won the toss and elected to bat first, Australian batsman David warner and Aaron Finch Rush to 30. The left-armer ,Mohammad Amir come out and had Warner caught behind by skipper Sarfraz Ahmed for 11

Before Rain , Australia had Manged 57 runs fall of 1 wicket in the 10th over

Steven smith was the next man in, He manged 8 off 17 balls and Finch, however, looked in great touch He score 7 boundaries and wonderful inning of 36 runs.

Australia, who won the title in 2006 and 2009, open their Group ‘A’ campaign against New Zealand on Friday at Edgbaston which also hosts the tournament’s biggest fixture when Pakistan take on old foes India on Sunday.
